Below are four images showing the progression from the pencil sketch to the final digital painting. This painting was used on the cover of the fighting fantasy game book 'Deathtrap Dungeon' by Ian Livingstone.

The program I used was Adobe Photoshop on a G4 Mac computer. The dots in the upper left of stages 2 and 3 are part of my colour palette on a separate layer. The toilet roll in stage 2 is courtesy my childish sense of humour and should be ignored.
